There are two Rural Fire Stations located in the Grose Vale/Bowen Mountain area. These Fire Stations are located in Cabbage Tree Road, Grose Vale – known as the main station and the other is in Lieut. Bowen Drive, Bowen Mountain, directly opposite the end of Waratah Street, Bowen Mountain.
Both Rural Fire Stations are manned by male and female RFS Volunteers on an “as required” basis and are available to respond to call-outs by pager, SMS and Telephone calls including Mobile ‘Phone Communications.

Permits to carry out pile burns can be obtained by contacting Hawkesbury Fire Control Centre on 02 4560 6400. Once a permit has been obtained they must also register online via Open Burning | Resources (nsw.gov.au)

All fires and other emergencies should always be reported to the Emergency Telephone No. 000 in the first instance.
Your local Rural Fire Brigade (GVRFB) will, if possible, always respond to fire calls and other emergencies in the Hawkesbury Local Government area including Structural Fires (buildings) and Motor Vehicle Accidents.
